Dodgers FYI is a blog about and community of fans dedicated to the Los Angeles Dodgers. We are fans with an insight into baseball and the team.

We try to offer something different than what is out there. Not that there is anything wrong with the current offerings of Dodgers content on the internet, but we feel we fit in a little differently. On one side is the traditional media (national sportswriters, local newspapers, etc.) who are very factual and to the point. On the other side is a handful of Saber, advanced statistic bloggers. We love it, but can also see how the common fan can get lost in all the numbers that traditionally do not make sense.

We will never discredit either side, especially the Saber side. However, we find ourselves right in the middle of the two. We have opinions and love to throw out stats. We will never inundate you with stats you do not understand, but when we use them, we will explain them.

We strive to appeal to the common fan. We are fans, we get high when things go good, and get low when things go bad. We don’t have an employer or a damage control department, so at times we will be very pointed and speak the truth with no regard.

Last, we love to interact with other fans. We introduced a live chat room when the site launched and are personally active in there. No lines or classes drawn here. We do not preach through our words, but rather use them to ignite conversation.
